SV08 First Day

So I am having issues loading filament. I have to open the extruder almost every time and guide the filament past the toothed gears into the guide thing for the hot end barrel…. annoying. I am probably doing something wrong.

So Need to update to firmware not too hard put on a blank usb and insert into usb and it auto installs and reboots…..

Then used kiauh to update mainsail, crowsnest, but now mainsail says everything is dirty, because Sovol modified some files to make the printer more tard proof….. The way I see it i have 3 options.

1. Deal with it… its just some text and an alert….
2. Reveret and run factory_restore.sh
3. Bite the bullet and go back to the main line and integrate the Sovol addons back on. Either way I need to get some Emmc reader thing(Yay more tools I’ll use like once)……

I managed to change the start_print macro to to include a clean of the nozzle and set the z-offset. This makes the pre-print time way longer, but i get better prints….. I did order a better inductive sensor so i will get that install when it come on the slow boat from China…… That should help the accuracy of the z offset and then better prints……
